Two
adjoining LIVING ROOMS (1 & 2),
have terra cotta floor tiles, totaling more than 500 sq. ft, and 2
period fireplaces, large sofa seating 5 or more, entertainment center
containing large flat screen plasma TV with DVD and VHS as well as a complete
sound system for film and music lovers. Armchairs, coffee tables and
lamps complete the living rooms. A double glass door opens from the 2nd living room unto a stone
terrace and gardens above the stream.
The adjacent DINING ROOM (140 sq. ft.) centers around a custom built teak and blue stone table comfortably seating eight with a large picture window overlooking one of the terraces and gardens. Antique and mahogany side tables complete the room. The fully-equipped, tiled, KITCHEN (150 sq. ft.) adjoins the dining room and overlooks the covered and open terraces leading to the pool and gardens. It includes a new dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, stove with oven and four burners (2 gas and 2 electric). A round teak table affords seating for 4. For your convenience we have provided an electric coffee maker, espresso machine, toaster, pressure-cooker, and dishes, glasses, flatware for 8. The LAUNDRY ROOM (70 sq. ft.) lies just 2 steps down from the kitchen and has a new washer, a microwave, additional electric stove and grill, ironing board and iron, and numerous shelves for storage. The door leads out to another terrace, gardens and the outdoor, hot and cold water shower. The PANTRY (45 sq. ft.) is separated from the laundry room by a door and contains a large freezer, shelves with wine rack and broom storage. SLEEPING AREAS (four bedrooms and four baths) On the ground floor the first bathroom is conveniently located next to the staircase in the hallway between the dining room and the kitchen. This bathroom is completely tiled with tub/ shower, sink, toilet and bidet. BEDROOM #1 (120 sq. ft.) Is located on the 2nd floor, faces South and has terra-cotta tiles, double platform mahogany bed with dove tail-jointed drawers underneath, 2 bedside tables with lamps, antique oak dresser, and writing desk with drawers and lamp. This bedroom has a separate toilet and closet, private bath with newly installed antique marble tiles, oversized tiled shower, new vanity, sink and medicine cabinet and all new plumbing fixtures. BEDROOM #2: (150 sq. ft.), also on the second floor, is for the book and music lover. This room contains built in shelves above the queen size cherry platform bed with drawers underneath. Bedside tables are built in with lamps and there is a full sized writing table and other lamps. There are 2 antique pine armoires for folded and hanging clothes. This room has a side window looking east over the pool and a large south facing window. BEDROOM #3: (160 sq. ft.). A master bedroom suite occupies the entire third floor. The bedroom furnishings include 2 new beds that can be separated or placed together to form a king-size sleeping area, tv, antique dresser and writing table, two bedside tables with lamps. A separate toilet is just outside the master bedroom. Across the landing is the large, tiled master bath with giant round tub, separate shower, bidet, and large vanity with 2 sinks. There is also a large antique built in closet. . MEZZANINE / 4th bedroom: This is one of 5 entrances to the house. The antique solid wood door leads into a gracious, tiled bedroom with another double mahogany platform bed with drawers, large antique walnut armoire, large writing desk, two side tables, chairs, numerous lamps and baby grand piano. There is a brand new tiled shower in a private bath with vanity, towel rack heater,etc. From the mezzanine there is a curved stone staircase leading to the living rooms below. |
