Country House/Villa with swimming pool for rent in Provence, South Luberon

EXTERIOR AMENITIES :
There are almost 2 acres of land along the rivet brook with oak, pine and cedar trees, a field of irises, lavender and poppies. Terraced herb and flower gardens surround the pool (@30x15 feet). For your safety the pool is equipped with an alarm and night lights.

The house and the property are private and surrounded by terraces, gardens, trees a stream and a field.  It is seperated from the Departmental Road D973 by an anti-noise and privacy masonry wall that is at least 6 feet tall.

A number of tiled and stone terraces surround the house (similar to a bastide provencal). The terrace leading to the kitchen and a few steps above the pool is covered, sheltering a teak table and chairs comfortably seating eight, as well as a barbecue grill and side table. The tiled stairs lead to the stone terraces surrounding the pool and gardens. They hold 8 lounge chairs. 

To the side of the pool is a terrace overlooking the stream with a white oval table and 6 chairs. Just outside double glass doors in the living is another terrace overlooking the stream with chairs and ping-pong table.

The house was built in several stages over a number of years.  It has 2 living rooms and 2 period fire places as well as multiple entrances to each section and can be divided into 2 parts with each party enjoying complete privacy.
This option is available in Autumn, winter and spring months.

In the summer and the early Fall the entire house and grounds are available for your exclusive use.  Begining the 6th of October 2007 through the end of April 2008 only the principle part of the house will be available for rent.  That part includes 3 bedrooms and 3 baths on 3 floors, plus the main living room with fire place and glass insert, dining room, kitchen, laundry room, pantry, terraces, pool, gardens, woods along stream etc.

During the summers 2008 and all summers for the foreseeable future the entire house including the 2nd living room and the mezzanine / 4th bedroom will be included in the rent.  In the late Fall and winter 2008-2009, i'll be staying part of the week in the small section of the house and realizing a couple of projects on the grounds.  I'd love to have neighbors staying next door during those times and would be happy to serve as a free tour guide, travel and project consultant for any of our guests interested in such services, in order to help visitors better discover this fabulous part of the world.  For any questions about these times and anything else, as always, do not hesitate to contact me by email or phone.
